This is an interesting strain to be working with as it’s not a blue moscow or a purple mosocw or a green moscow thus I cannot term it as any of them. Many of the males have a mix of mostly blue and purple though there are some here and there that have green in them (very few), but truly non are fully one color which is why I have been calling them ocean-blue moscows (A combination of blue, purple, and green).
This stain began with a group of imported emerald moscows from a breeder in Thailand. I actually named the males and females I got in but did not continue with the naming once the guppy count increased. Can’t name them all! I loved how the imports looked. However, they did not breed true. I did work with them for a couple years but have decided to move onto fresh stock from the same lines.
Therefore, I sold off what I was working with originally (From the foundation stock) and I imported fresh stock from the same breeder from the same line. Will see how things go from this point. He calls the emeralds, though they are still a mix of blue, green, and some purple so I have renamed them Ocean-blue moscows.
This is Trip, he was my favorite of the 3 males that we started with. I wish I could have cloned him!
Kitt made his trip here from Thailand along with Trip and several females.
Ace was a later addition to our start.
My favorite of the females. She had a beautiful green tail, just wish I could have gotten more like her.
Ali was in my 2nd group of these from Thailand, she came with Ace.
Shasta was in the first group with Sprite. These girls were huge and threw huge drops too!
Just a short video of some from our group of bi-colored moscow breeders. You will notice that one looks more blue, another more purple, and a third more green. These are the ones I have sold off and no longer working with.
A short video of my newest foundation breeding group of moscows from Thailand. These are the breeders that have replaced my other group. I will now be working with these guys. I now have offspring form these having their own offspring!
My most current group of breeders. These are 1st generation from my newest foundation stock
A view from the top. Here's a top view of 2 males.
No I promise it's not a betta. It's one of the original males I received from a breeder in Thailand. My husband took this photo.
